When I was in the 8th
grade attending John Marshall Junior High School in Pasadena, California, a man
of great notoriety came to our campus. We were all surprised that this man
valued us so much as to come and speak to our assembly. He was incredible to
listen to and when he finished, we seem to all have a renewed vision of
America. Of course the man I am talking about is Ronald Reagan, whom I believe
will go down as one of our greatest Presidents.
But along with being a great
president, I believe he will also go down as a man with a great faith. He
often spoke openly about his trust in God, even in the public arena. And as I
learned later, through the testimony of my cousin ( John Teerink -Water
Controller of California in Reagan’s administration), the faith he proclaimed
in public was no different than the faith he lived with his fellow workers.
God speed Ronald Reagan, see
you in heaven!
