Pro. 14:17 A quick-tempered
man acts foolishly, and a man of evil devices is hated.
Pro. 16:32-33 32 He who is
slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit, than
he who captures a city. 33 The lot is cast into the lap, But its every
decision is from the Lord.
James 1:19-20 19 This you
know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak
and slow to anger; 20 for the anger of man does not achieve the
righteousness of God.
Pro 14:29-30 29 He who is
slow to anger has great understanding, but he who is quick-tempered exalts
folly. 30 A tranquil heart is life to the body, but passion is rottenness
to the bones.
Eccles 11:10
So, remove grief and anger from your heart and put away pain from your body,
because childhood and the prime of life are fleeting.
Proverbs 15: 18 A
hot-tempered man stirs up strife, but the slow to anger calms a dispute.
Ephesians 4:22-24
24 And put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been
created in righteousness and holiness of the truth. 25 Therefore, laying
aside falsehood, speak truth each one of you with his neighbor, for we are
members of one another. 26 Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun
go down on your anger, 27 and do not give the devil an opportunity.
Pro. 19:19 A man of great
anger will bear the penalty, For if you rescue him, you will only have to do
it again
Matthew 5: 21-25
21 “You have heard that the ancients were told, ‘You shall not commit
murder’ and ‘Whoever commits murder shall be liable to the court.’ 22 “But I
say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be guilty
before the court; and whoever says to his brother, ‘You good-for-nothing,’
shall be guilty before the supreme court; and whoever says, ‘You fool,’
shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell. 23 “Therefore if you are
presenting your offering at the altar, and there remember that your brother
has something against you, 24 leave your offering there before the altar and
go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your
offering. 25 “Make friends quickly with your opponent at law while you are
with him on the way, so that your opponent may not hand you over to the
judge, and the judge to the officer, and you be thrown into prison.
Ephesians 4:26-27;29-32 26
Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27
and do not give the devil an opportunity. 29 Let no unwholesome word proceed
from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according
to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear. 30
Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of
redemption.31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and
slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one
another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also
has forgiven you.
Col. 3:8-10;17 8 But now
you also, put them all aside: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and abusive
speech from your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, since you laid aside
the old self with its evil practices, 10 and have put on the new self who is
being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who
created him—and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your
hearts to God. 17 Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the
Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.
James 1:19-20 19 This you
know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak
and slow to anger; 20 for the anger of man does not achieve the
righteousness of God.
