Learn the lesson from the
mule when it comes to criticizing others ; when he is kicking he cannot be
pulling, and when he is pulling he cannot be kicking.
To escape criticism, say nothing, do nothing, be nothing.
We are called to be witnesses of the Lord, not lawyers and judges of His
fellow members.
You have to build a
person’s confidence in you, before you can constructively criticize or help
him.
Ephesians 4:26-27;29-32 26 Be angry, and yet do not sin; do
not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and do not give the devil an
opportunity. 29 Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only
such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment,
so that it will give grace to those who hear. 30 Do not grieve the Holy
Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.31
Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away
from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tender-hearted,
forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.
James 5:9 Do not
complain, brethren, against one another, so that you yourselves may not be
judged; behold, the Judge is standing right at the door.
I Cor. 4: 5
Therefore do not go on passing judgment before the time, but wait until the
Lord comes who will both bring to light the things hidden in the darkness
and disclose the motives of men’s hearts; and then each man’s praise will
come to him from God.
Romans 14:1-41 Now
accept the one who is weak in faith, but not for the purpose of passing
judgment on his opinions. 2 One person has faith that he may eat all
things, but he who is weak eats vegetables only. 3 The one who eats is not
to regard with contempt the one who does not eat, and the one who does not
eat is not to judge the one who eats, for God has accepted him. 4 Who are
you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls;
and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
Pro. 27:5 Better is open rebuke
than love that is concealed.
Matthew 7:1-5 1 “Do not judge so that you will not be
judged. 2 “For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your
standard of measure, it will be measured to you. 3 “Why do you look at the
speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in
your own eye? 4 “Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck
out of your eye,’ and behold, the log is in your own eye? 5 “You hypocrite,
first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to
take the speck out of your brother’s eye.
Gal. 5:13-16 13 For you were called to freedom, brethren;
only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through
love serve one another. 14 For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in
the statement, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 But if you
bite and devour one another, take care that you are not consumed by one
another. 16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the
desire of the flesh.
I Peter 3:8-9 8 To sum up, all of you be harmonious,
sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit; 9 not returning
evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you
were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing.
Col. 3:12-15 12 So, as those who have been chosen of God,
holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility,
gentleness and patience; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving each
other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you,
so also should you. 14 Beyond all these things put on love, which is the
perfect bond of unity. 15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to
which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful
