When a man is rightly related to God, he cannot be wrongly related to
men.
Cease to be in a hurry, for
you will lose sight of my face. Don’t run ahead of my orders.
2 Cor. 5: 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new
creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
Col. 3:8-10;17 8 But now you also, put them all aside: anger,
wrath, malice, slander, and abusive speech from your mouth. 9 Do not lie to
one another, since you laid aside the old self with its evil practices, 10
and have put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge
according to the image of the One who created him—and hymns and spiritual
songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 Whatever you do
in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through
Him to God the Father.
Ephesians 4:22-24 24 And put on the new self, which in the
likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.
25 Therefore, laying aside falsehood, speak truth each one of you with his
neighbor, for we are members of one another. 26 Be angry, and yet do not
sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and do not give the devil
an opportunity.
Gal. 5:16-23 16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will
not carry out the desire of the flesh. 17 For the flesh sets its desire
against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in
opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you
please. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law. 19
Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity,
sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of
anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, 21 envying, drunkenness, carousing,
and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned
you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of
God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such
things there is no law.
I Thess. 5:16-19 16 Rejoice always; 17 pray without ceasing;
18 in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ
Jesus. 19 Do not quench the Spirit.
James 1:22-27 22 But prove yourselves doers of the word, and
not merely hearers who delude themselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of
the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a
mirror; 24 for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has
immediately forgotten what kind of person he was. 25 But one who looks
intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not
having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be
blessed in what he does. 26 If anyone thinks himself to be religious,
and yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man’s
religion is worthless. 27 Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our
God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and
to keep oneself unstained by the world.
John 6:63 “It is
the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have
spoken to you are spirit and are life.
Pro. 14:2-3 2 He who walks in his uprightness fears the
Lord, But he who is devious in
his ways despises Him. 3 In the mouth of the foolish is a rod for his back,
But the lips of the wise will protect them.
Jere. 17: 5-8 8 Thus says the
Lord, “Cursed is the man who
trusts in mankind And makes flesh his strength, And whose heart turns away
from the Lord. 6 “For he
will be like a bush in the desert And will not see when prosperity comes,
But will live in stony wastes in the wilderness, A land of salt without
inhabitant. 7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the
Lord And whose trust is the
Lord. 8 “For he will be like
a tree planted by the water, That extends its roots by a stream And will not
fear when the heat comes; But its leaves will be green, And it will not be
anxious in a year of drought, nor cease to yield fruit.
Matthew 6:24-32 24 “No one can serve two masters; for either
he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and
despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth. 25 “For this reason I
say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or
what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not
life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 “Look at the
birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and
yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?
27 “And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life? 28
“And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field
grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, 29 yet I say to you that not even
Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. 30 “But if God
so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is
thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little
faith! 31 “Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we
drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ 32 “For the Gentiles eagerly
seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all
these things.
I Cor. 6:18-20 18 Flee immorality, every other sin that a man
commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body.
19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is
in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? 20 For you
have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.
