To those you are teaching and preaching to?   They don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.

Silence is not always golden when it comes to witnessing, it is mostly just plain yellow.

To escape criticism…say nothing, do nothing…be nothing.

Luke 12:2-3  2 “But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known. 3 “Accordingly, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed upon the housetops.

I Peter 3:13-15 13 Who is there to harm you if you prove zealous for what is good? 14 But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. And do not fear their intimidation, and do not be troubled, 15 but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence;

Proverbs 27: 5 Better is open rebuke than love that is concealed.  6  Faithful are the wounds of a friend.

Ephesians 4:22-24 24  And put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth. 25 Therefore, laying aside falsehood, speak truth each one of you with his neighbor, for we are members of one another. 26 Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and do not give the devil an opportunity.

Pro 20: 5 A plan in the heart of a man is like deep water, but a man of understanding draws it out.

Proverbs 25:1-3   1 A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. 2 The tongue of the wise makes knowledge acceptable, but the mouth of fools spouts folly. 3 The eyes of the Lord are in every place, watching the evil and the good.

Col. 4:6  Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.

James 1:19-20  19 This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger;  20 for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.

Matthew 15:17-18 17 “Do you not understand that everything that goes into the mouth passes into the stomach, and is eliminated?  18  “But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man.

Matthew 5:33-37   33 “Again, you have heard that the ancients were told, ‘You shall not make false vows, but shall fulfill your vows to the Lord.’ 34 “But I say to you, make no oath at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God, 35or by the earth, for it is the footstool of His feet, or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.   36 “Nor shall you make an oath by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black.  37 “But let your statement be, ‘Yes, yes’ or ‘No, no’; anything beyond these is of evil.

Ephesians 4: 29-32  29 Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear. 30 Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.31  Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.
