If I want it, it’s mine.
If I give it to you and change my mind later, it’s mine.
If I can take it away from you, it’s mine.
If I had it a little while ago, it’s mine.
If it’s mine, it will never belong to anyone else, no
matter what.
If we are building something together, all the pieces are
mine.
If it looks just like mine, it is mine.
My (Kent McClain) insight into a Christian parent’s
view of the world.
Parent’s Creed
If I want it, it’s yours.
If I give it to you and change my mind later, it’s yours.
If I can take it away from you, I apologize, it’s yours.
If I had it a little while ago, it does not matter, it’s
yours now.
If it’s mine, it is only mine for a short while,
everything belongs to the Lord.
If we are building something together, all the pieces are
mine and yours.
If it looks just like mine, it may be, but you can have
it.
Word of God
Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation
of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and
compassion, make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same
love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. Do nothing from selfishness or
empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important
than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but
also for the interests of others. Have this attitude in yourselves which was
also in Christ Jesus. Philippians 2: 1-4
