Great followers of Christ and leaders make prayer their first priority, poor ones make it their last resort.

Security/love

Romans 8:35-39 35    Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 Just as it is written, “For Your sake we are being put to death all day long; We were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,  39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

 Proverbs 24: 16-17  16 For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again, but the wicked stumble in time of calamity. 17 Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles;

Heaven

Is. 65:25   “The wolf and the lamb will graze together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox; and dust will be the serpent’s food. They will do no evil or harm in all My holy mountain,” says the Lord.

Our Works

Col. 3: 23-25  23 Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.  25 For he who does wrong will receive the consequences of the wrong which he has done, and that without partiality.

Proverbs 25:1-3   1 A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. 2 The tongue of the wise makes knowledge acceptable, but the mouth of fools spouts folly. 3 The eyes of the Lord are in every place, watching the evil and the good.

Security/Sovereignty

Is. 4:  26 Lift up your eyes on high and see who has created these stars, the One who leads forth their host by number, He calls them all by name; because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power, not one of them is missing.
