Our works/Our
words
To those you are
teaching and preaching to? They don’t care how much you know until they
know how much you care.
Sovereignty/Our strength
Isaiah 40:28-31 28 Do
you not know? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the
Lord, the Creator of the ends
of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is
inscrutable. 29 He gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might
He increases power. 30 Though youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous
young men stumble badly, 31 Yet those who wait for the
Lord will gain new strength;
they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired,
they will walk and not become weary.
Our confidence/His will
Jeremiah 29:11-14 11 ‘For
I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the
Lord, ‘plans for welfare and
not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. 12 ‘Then you
will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 ‘You
will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. 14 ‘I
will be found by you,’ declares the
Lord.’
Our words/Our
words
Romans 14:
13 Therefore let us not judge one another
anymore, but rather determine this—not to put an obstacle or a stumbling
block in a brother’s way.
Unity
Romans 14: 19 So then we
pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another.
Prayer/Wisdom
I Thess. 5:16-21 16
Rejoice always; 17 pray without ceasing; 18 in everything give thanks; for
this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 19 Do not quench the
Spirit; 20 do not despise prophetic utterances. 21 But examine everything
carefully; hold fast to that which is good
Our words
Col. 4:5-6 5 Conduct
yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity.
6 Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so
that you will know how you should respond to each person.
Our works
Col. 3: 17 Whatever you
do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks
through Him to God the Father.
