Prayer
Prayer does not make God see things as we
see them, it helps us see things the way God sees them.
Comfort
2 Cor. 1:3-7 3 Blessed be
the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God
of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be
able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which
we ourselves are comforted by God. 5 For just as the sufferings of Christ
are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ. 6 But
if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; or if we are
comforted, it is for your comfort, which is effective in the patient
enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer; 7 and our hope
for you is firmly grounded, knowing that as you are sharers of our
sufferings, so also you are sharers of our comfort.
Perspective and
promise
Phil. 2:9-11
9 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him
the name which is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus
every knee will bow, of those
who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth 11 and that every tongue
will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Confidence
Luke 12: 12 for the Holy
Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.
Control and sovereignty
Pro. 16:32-33 32 He who
is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit,
than he who captures a city. 33 The lot is cast into the lap, But its every
decision is from the Lord.
