Trails/Perspective
A trial is a thermometer which tells you how
sick you are and is the remedy to get you well. Make the most of
today, and the least of yesterday.
The Enemy
Ephesians 6:10-17 10
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. 11 Put on
the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the
schemes of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and
blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces
of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly
places. 13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be
able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand
firm. 14 Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth,
and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your
feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 in addition to all,
taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all
the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and
the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Perseverance
Philippians 3: 12-14
12 Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I
press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by
Christ Jesus. 13 Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it
yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to
what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward
call of God in Christ Jesus.
Love
Mark 12:30
and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your
soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’
Promise
John 7:38
“He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being
will flow rivers of living water.’
Perspective
Col. 3:8-10;17 8 But now
you also, put them all aside: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and abusive
speech from your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, since you laid aside
the old self with its evil practices, 10 and have put on the new self who is
being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who
created him—and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your
hearts to God. 17 Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the
Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.
Promise
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is
patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to
repentance.
