Love
Love is an unconditional commitment to an imperfect person.
Winning others/Our Works
If
you were arrested for being a Christian would there be enough evidence to
convict you in a court of Law?
Wisdom and Knowledge
New ideas are resisted, then tolerated, then grasped, then accepted.
Perspective
Phil. 3:7-9 7 But whatever things
were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of
Christ. 8 More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the
surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered
the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain
Christ, 9 and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own
derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the
righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith.
Perspective
Phil. 2:9-11 9
For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name
which is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus
every knee will bow, of those
who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth 11 and that every tongue
will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Perspective
Col. 3:8-10;17 8 But now you also, put them all aside: anger,
wrath, malice, slander, and abusive speech from your mouth. 9 Do not lie to
one another, since you laid aside the old self with its evil practices, 10
and have put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge
according to the image of the One who created him—and hymns and spiritual
songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 Whatever you do
in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through
Him to God the Father.
Perspective
I John 3:2 Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has
not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will
be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is.
