Perspective
“The man who walks with God always gets to His destination”
Perseverance
“The main purpose of prayer is not to make life easier, nor to gain magical
powers, but to know God. I need God more than anything I might get from
God.” Yancy
Our words/Salvation
Romans 10:,13- 15,17-18 13 for “Whoever will call on the
name of the Lord will be saved.” 14 How then will they call on Him in whom
they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not
heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? 15 How will they preach
unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of
those who bring good news of good things!” 17 So faith comes from hearing,
and hearing by the word of Christ. 18 But I say, surely they have never
heard, have they? Indeed they have; “Their voice has gone out into all the
earth, and their words to the ends of the world.”
The Enemy/Temptation
Pro 14:11 The house of the wicked will be destroyed, but the
tent of the upright will flourish. 12 There is a way which seems right to a
man, but its end is the way of death.
Sin
Pro. 14: 14 The backslider in heart will have his fill of his
own ways, but a good man will be satisfied with his.
Our works
Luke 13:7-9 7 “And he said to the vineyard-keeper, ‘Behold,
for three years I have come looking for fruit on this fig tree without
finding any. Cut it down! Why does it even use up the ground?’ 8 “And he
answered and said to him, ‘Let it alone, sir, for this year too, until I dig
around it and put in fertilizer; 9 and if it bears fruit next year, fine;
but if not, cut it down.’ ”
Wisdom
Eccles 1:2.9 2 “Vanity of vanities,” says the Preacher,
“Vanity of vanities! All is vanity.” 9 That which has been is that which
will be, and that which has been done is that which will be done. So there
is nothing new under the sun.
Loss
Pro. 14: 13 Even in laughter the heart may be in pain, and the
end of joy may be grief. Week Six Day 3
Discipleship
Mark 1: 17 And
Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”
