Unity/Criticism
Learn the lesson from
the mule when it comes to criticizing others ; when he is kicking he cannot
be pulling, and when he is pulling he cannot be kicking.
Control/Criticism/Anger/ Our Words
Ephesians 4:26-27;29-32
26 Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,
27 and do not give the devil an opportunity. 29 Let no unwholesome word
proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification
according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who
hear. 30 Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for
the day of redemption.31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and
clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind
to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ
also has forgiven you.
New life/Perspective/Anger
Col. 3:8-10;17 8 But now
you also, put them all aside: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and abusive
speech from your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, since you laid aside
the old self with its evil practices, 10 and have put on the new self who is
being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who
created him—and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your
hearts to God. 17 Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the
Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.
Confidence/Security
Exodus 14:13-14 But
Moses said to the people, “Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of
the Lord which He will
accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you
will never see them again forever. 14 “The
Lord will fight for you while
you keep silent.”
Perspective
I John 3:2 Beloved, now
we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We
know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just
as He is.
Rest
Matthew 11:28-30 28
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29
“Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in
heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 “For My yoke is easy and
My burden is light.
Criticism
James 5:9
Do not complain, brethren, against one another, so that you yourselves may
not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing right at the door.
