Romans 8:1-5 1 Therefore
there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For the
law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of
sin and of death. 3 For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through
the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and
as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 so that the
requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according
to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who are according to
the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are
according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
Our works
Col. 2:20-23 20 If you
have died with Christ to the elementary principles of the world, why, as if
you were living in the world, do you submit yourself to decrees, such as, 21
Do not handle, do not taste, do not touch! 22 (which all refer to things
destined to perish with use)in accordance with the commandments and
teachings of men? 23 These are matters which have, to be sure, the
appearance of wisdom in self-made religion and self-abasement and severe
treatment of the body, but are of no value against fleshly indulgence.
Wisdom
I Cor. 4:7
For who regards you as superior? What do you have that you did not receive?
and if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?
Love
Romans 13:10 Love does
no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
Wisdom
Romans 13: 12-14 12 The
night is almost gone, and the day is near. Therefore let us lay aside the
deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. 13 Let us behave properly
as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity
and sensuality, not in strife and jealousy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus
Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts
Anger
Pro. 14:17 A
quick-tempered man acts foolishly, and a man of evil devices is hated.
Loss
Pro. 17:14
The spirit of a man can endure his sickness, but as for a broken spirit who
can bear it?
