Mission Impossible
The scope of this book was initially meant to cover a day-by-day account of Jesus as he discipled his men. I wanted to observe how he discipled his men. I felt that if I could see what he was doing and try to emulate it, my discipleship of others would be much more fruitful. I am sorry to say that I could not fit all that I observed into this one book; there was too much about which to write. Consequently, this book only covers the first year and a half of Jesus’ walk with the disciples. At the end of this time, the “12” were able to go out in pairs to accomplish their first ministry without Jesus. Discipleship efforts today must be re-evaluated and align themselves more with the way Jesus accomplished his mission of discipleship. Discipleship cannot be done in bits and pieces, according to formalized practices.
